U7 Summer Camp - August 5-9, 2024
The U7 (Timbits) Summer Camp provides Participants the opportunity to take part in an exciting day long summer camp. We will have several instructors present to help assist the kids throughout the day. The on ice drills will help increase the players skills and abilities in skating, puck handling, balance and coordination. If your son or daughter is entering into their first year of Timbits, then sign them up and our instructors will help teach them the fundamentals prior to hockey starting up in September. The off ice sessions will focus on agility, balance, coordination and speed. More importantly the sessions will have a fun aspect that helps keeps
the kids engaged and excited.
On Ice Sessions
Each week long summer camp consists of two on ice and two off ice sessions daily. The on ice sessions will consist of both station based drills as well as full ice drills. The on ice sessions will focus on skating, agility, balance, speed; stride technique, edge work, shooting, passing, scoring, position specific drills and basic position skill sets.
Off Ice Sessions
Off Ice Conditioning - The off ice conditioning will focus on physical literacy for the participants, which means we will focus on Agility, Balance, Coordination and Speed (A,B,C’S). With a focus on these specific skill sets we will increase the player’s basic motor skills off ice, which will ultimately lead to better on ice skills.
Leadership - The Leadership Sessions are designed to help increase the players knowledge, and confidence in working in a team dynamic. The Leadership sessions are age appropriate and ensure that players learn while having fun.
Instructors
Each of our summer camps will be instructed by experienced instructors who have the knowledge, passion and abilities to effectively and efficiently teach your son or daughter. We guarantee a 1 to 6 ratio for instructors to participants, which ensures your son or daughter is receiving ample instruction and feedback throughout the course of the week.
Show Case Fridays!
At the conclusion of each weeks camp players will take part in a show case game where they can show family and friends the progress they have made. Our show case games include individual player announcements, along with music in between stoppages of play.
Location of the MHD Summer Camps
The Timbits Summer Camps will take place at the Trico Leisure Centre located at 11150 Bonaventure Drive SE.
What do you need to bring with you to each camp:
- CSA Approved Hockey Equipment and hockey stick (s)
- Bag Lunch and snacks
- Off ice clothes and runners

The cost of the camp is $499 + Service Fees
The registration fees include:
